Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could have had the choice of doing free home school, getting a jump start at school? It could have probably been so if both our parents didn’t have to go work way back in the day, or if we could have someone watch over us without them getting paid, like a big sister or brother. Wouldn’t that just have been great? Doubt it, wanting your older sibling even having more rules over you, as if they weren’t bossy enough.

The thought of free home school could conjure up a million and one other things to do to fill in for the time you would have extra. Sleep late, play games or even go visit others who are doing the free home school tuition, actually everything else you would normally do except study.

Hopefully your friends who are doing the free home school tuition don’t have their parents at home, as we know, you would be shoved off back home in a jiffy.

Getting A Jump-Start At School

Everyone thinks and hopes that education could be free, and a lot of it is, but you wouldn’t be able to just get the certificates or acknowledgements for free, you would still have to pass the examinations to get them. You would need some form of proof that you have passed an examination in order to progress either to another grade or higher.

With the thought of free home school, not all would be free, you would have to pay for the final examination at least if you did get the free home school material. Nothing in life is for free, there is always a catch somewhere where you have to pay.

The greatest idea would be if we could get a university degree from free home school, as we know it is extremely expensive to go to university daily and to pay the fees. It does help however if you had a bursary of some sort to cover the tuition fees.

Considering the amount of money that teachers at schools get paid, it is no wonder they are becoming a scarce commodity, and the need for home schooling would increase.

But for society still to excel, the government could provide for free home school tuition, especially if they are already paying for free public schooling.

It would just require more effort on the parents’ behalf, and obedience, perseverance and diligence from the child, even an au pair could assist with these duties.

Home study is a serious issue to getting the head start. It demands a fixed routine, perseverance and diligence to stick to the routine that the parent, tutor or yourself, has laid out for you. You just getting the head start would be good for life. You would have deadlines to meet, and projects too to do. You just have to stay focused.

There would be a batch of books and textbooks that you would have to purchase and use through the course of the year, and some guidelines that you would have to follow on the instructions in the free home school book. This would be the information for your guidelines to follow, for you to pass the subjects you have chosen for that year.

As every year passes, you would need a new free home school book as every grade or level of study would be different and require different guidelines.

Getting The Head Start

It is not easy to stick to studying at home, as you think you are more relaxed, you tend to be more lax. Considering you don’t need to get dressed or travel, which could save you time, but instead you would normally land up wasting that time by probably sleeping later or dawdling.

So it would prove wiser to stick to the hints too from the free home school book. Yes, stick to the same time you would normally get up in the morning and start at the same time you would have started school.

By following this hint in the free home school book you will soon find that you are way ahead or finished from others who are still at school. Then the next best tip in the free home school book would be to start reading, even one chapter per day, a variety of the subjects by all means, but read, and keep the free home school book and home school resource book next to your bedside as you would a bible.

Of all the things you would need for studying at home, the home school resource book would be your biggest help. It would contain vital information about where and when examinations are set to be written, as they would have to be written at an institution where there are invigilators too, just like school.

They would also contain lists of subjects required to be taken and what grades you need to pass them. There would be tutor contact information in them too, should you require assistance, or they could also have a website for online help.

Yes, this is the most pertinent information you would need, next to having your textbooks.

Free home school resources are all around us. It just takes careful (and meticulous) planning to research carefully and to choose the appropriate ones and to cross-check intelligently all the information you find.

Where To Find Free Home School Resources

You can use books in your home, borrow from friends, use a library, and/or buy from a bookshop. Some information may be outdated or the trends and perceptions in that regard may have changed, so, cross-check it. While you are at the bookshop, look for free home school supplies, be they stationery or text books.

At your nearest University library approach lecturers in the relevant department or at least to get guidance as to where you may find the relevant information.

Newspapers at home, and archived ones in the local library often supply information difficult to find elsewhere.

Try general, history or art museums for relevant information and/or a brochure or booklet which may even be free.

On the Internet you can find almost anything by searching on every possible relevant keyword.

Have paper and a pen handy at all times when watching television news, documentaries and sometimes other programs, for relevant information for a current or future lesson.

For an opinion-based lesson, take mental note of any relevant conversations that you hear or are part of, such as other peoples conversation in a bus queue, or ones that you have started with your lesson/s in mind.

For information on current day music or poetry or art for even a small part of a lesson, buy or borrow a CD or DVD with music or poetry or art.

If you have a local film library, or your video shop or local library has archived films, get information from a film or use it as part of the lesson as well as it being one of your free home school resources

Use one of various directories as one of your free home school resources, for example, to find what you need yourself, or to list certain types of companies which may form part of your lesson.

Certain factories may supply you with information or even take you round the factory for you to glean the knowledge you need.

Most companies would be only too delighted to give you a company brochure. Some would be happy to answer your questions.

The really eager and passionate free home school teacher will have the motivation and the dedication to approach such individuals as relevant writers, historians, ecologists and the like.

Whatever free home school resources you choose, authenticate the information as far as possible by checking other free home school resources, and file your information for easy current and future access.

Off-the-cuff free home school lessons should be reserved for emergencies. All other free home school lessons should receive the meticulous planning that all learners deserve.

The Preparation of a Free Home School Lesson E.G. Spices

Firstly, the short-term goal of the free home school lesson should be chosen. This is usually academic, logical, obvious and related to the required curriculum, for example familiarizing learners with spices for which such long and dangerous trips were made, first overland, and then by sea after the sea route to the East was discovered in 1498.

Next, the long-term goals of the free home school lesson should be established. These should relate to the enrichment of the lives of the learners and to take them into adult life and should be both relevant and inspiring, for example, it could lead to greater understanding of the purpose of spices then and now, life at sea in the 16th Century and the enjoyment of relevant poetry and art works.

Planning the scope of the lesson is deciding on how much information to include and where to begin and end.

There should be an introduction, the body of the lesson and the conclusion or punch-line. At all times, three matters must be borne in mind holding the attention of the learners; the integrity of the free home school lesson content; and the learners input. For example the body of the lesson could involve certain spices passed around amongst the learners to get their reaction to the smell and the feel of them and the ancient and modern purposes of each individual spice discussed. The introduction and conclusion should be designed with the particular learners in mind.

The application for the learners is usually in the form of an activity, like tasting a few dishes prepared with spices, in conjunction with a free home school worksheet.

Then there should be a plan to follow up the free home school lesson or application or it should be related to another free home school lesson, for example, a free home school lesson on the spice trade sea voyages.

Once the skeleton of the free home school lesson has been drawn, the material required should be decided upon. This would be the spices themselves; their presentation; the cooked dishes; the means to keep them warm; and the cutlery, crockery and serviettes to be used.

With excellent preparation (down to the finest possible details), passion, a desire to motivate and inspire, the lesson should be highly successful and turn the most unwilling learners into having a thirst for doing their own research on the subject to find out more, and to putting into practice what they have learnt.

Did you know that American presidents Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Widrow Wilson were both educated at home? Other well-known home schooled names include Che Guevara, Ernst Schrödinger, Elizabeth II and Thomas Edison.

A wide variety of resources are available to those involved in home schooling. Various websites provide useful information. These websites often list helpful resources and provide links to free home school supplies available online. With the help of some websites, you will be able to source that free home school book for which you have long been searching.

Study Findings
In 2003, the National Home Education Research Institute conducted a survey of 7300 adults who received home schooling. Of the adults surveyed, 5000 received home schooling for over seven years.
A large percentage of home school graduates serve their communities. Many serve their communities as sports coaches, volunteers at local schools, and members of a local church, or other neighbourhood association. Whereas 37% of US adults who received a traditional education participate in community service, 71% of home schooled US adults are involved in local activities.

Unlike their public schooled peers, home school graduates are more active in civic affairs. Home school graduates also vote in higher numbers than their public school peers. The National Home Education Research Institute surveyed the voting activity of home school graduates between 18 and 24 years of age. They found that 76% of home schooled graduates voted in the last five years, compared to a paltry 29% of the US populace.
Finally, the study by the National Home Education Research Institute found that 59% of home school graduates consider themselves “very happy” with their lives compared to 28% of the general US populace. Of the graduates, 73% find life “exciting” compared with 47% of the national population.

Home Schooling and You
With luminaries such as Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Edison emerging from home schooling, home schooling is a worthy consideration. Studies prove that home schooled graduates are more active in their communities, vote more often than state schooled graduates and are happier people who find life more exciting.
Parents schooling their children at home benefit greatly from the variety of free home school supplies available online. Free home school supplies can be accessed, not only off the World Wide Web, but from local museums, community centres, churches, science preserves, parks and other community resources.

A number of parents acquire free home school supplies from a co-op of home schooling families in their area. Such groups meet once a week to provide a classroom environment and also have family-centred support groups where free home school supplies can be shared. Such a community also provides support for new parents adjusting to teaching their children at home. There are a variety of free home school supplies out there, to aid both parent and child.

Without the correct learning equipment or material it can really be hard to get the education level of home schooling right. However with the library as well as the Internet you can easily get your hands on free home school material.

Naturally the internet is great for providing you with free home school material because you do not have to leave your home, but you do have to be aware that some of the information contained in some of the websites might not be accurate. That is why then you will need to combine the two sources.

It is clear that most people are relying on the Internet for their home schooling needs but in order to have a degree of accuracy in the work you do need external sources. This is also how most children are taught, as research skills are important and cross-referencing means that you have checked all your sources. The library is a good source for free home school material because you can get journals and books or even CDs with the material that you need.

The Library And Other Resources For Free Home School Material

You should not be shy to use the library as part of you free home school material resource. Ideally you need to plan each lesson before you decide what free home school material you will need. This will also make it easier to plan a curriculum as your students do depend on having some form of direction.

The reason for the need of proper educational direction ensures that nobody is left in the dark and you know what your pupils should be doing.

It is after-all all part of the free home school lesson, which, like the public or private school does ensure that chaos is held at bay. It is also means and shows that you have a bit more control over the daily proceedings.

Unlike schools you have the chance to improve your pupils lives by taking them out to places where they can truly experience things as part of their gathering and using of free home school material. In this way you can be sure that your pupils are getting the benefits that children in schools are not. Planning trips or even small lectures can be a stimulating way to ensure that your students are going to be ahead of the rest when they or if they ever end up going to school.

A free home school worksheet is a free home school worksheet is a free home school worksheet right? Wrong! Firstly, preparing a free home school worksheet is an opportunity to rise to the challenge of improving on all those ones you complained about at school! What was it you said about this one? Boring. And that one? Difficult to understand. And that? Pointless. And that? Bitty and piecy. And that? Badly printed so that it was almost illegible and certainly unpleasant to read. Aha!

Now YOU are the teacher. Now you need to design a free home school worksheet that YOU, if you were the learner who had to fill it in, would find interesting, clear, meaningful, well-designed and aesthetically presented.

Secondly, a free home school worksheet has a purpose, which is to see whether what you have taught your learners has sunk in and if your free home school resources are designed well, each learners interpretation of what you taught them and its significance. It is not as daunting as it seems.

Free Home School Worksheet Preparation

If your lesson is well prepared, the most important aspects of the free home school worksheet should almost present themselves to you.

What are the most important facts, impressions, feelings, conclusions, and even questions, do you want to evoke in your learners? List the questions that would supply the answers you are looking for. If you want a yes or no answer, ask for intelligent reasons for their answer.

Add questions that will give the learners an opportunity to expand on their own thoughts. Think of what you got excited about with regard to the lesson. Then, think of individual learners in the home school group and design a question that would excite each one or, at least, as many as you can.

Now assign marks to each question relative to their importance. Decide whether you are going to indicate what those marks are, on the free home school worksheet and know why you made that decision.

Finally, decide on the appearance. Include essential pictures and a few more that are relevant and attractive.
